Gopalpur Beach is amongst the popular beaches in Orissa for watching a Sunrise. On Gopalpur beach here, a view of the blue sea stretching and the orange sun rising from the pane is made. Chandipur Beach in the eastern part of India has situated at Baleshwar district a small quiet village on the seashore of Orissa. Rama Krishna Beach also known as RK beach is situated in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh is named after the Ramakrishna Mission. A large crowd of people gather here in the evening having a fun time on the sands. Swimming, sunbathing, surfing and playing beach volleyball are some of the popular activities that can be seen her. On the RK beach, carts and hawkers keep on selling various kinds of street food items.

Rishikonda Beach, 20 km from Visakhapatnam (Vizag), is slightly smaller than Ramakrishna Beach, but here you will find more peace. When you are sitting on the golden sand spread on the beach in the silence of the evening, you will hear the melodious music of birds coming from the jungle of palm and mango to return home. You can also enjoy parasailing and surfing in the clear waters of the Bay of Bengal.

Edward Elliot’s Beach (popularly known as “Besant Nagar Beach” or “Bessie”) is a beautiful beach in the eastern part of India is situated in Besant Nagar 13 km from Chennai. Eliot’s Beach is very famous among the youth due to its beauty. The locals here also call this beach as Bessie Beach.
Best time to visit: October to March, but the weather is the best in December.
