When people talk about food that is classed in this way, what they are really referring to is food that had been produced using organic farming methods.
Irradiation and the use of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) or products produced from or by GMOs are generally prohibited by organic legislation. India is bestowed with lot of potential to produce all varieties of organic products due to its various agro climatic regions. In several parts of the country, the inherited tradition of organic farming is an added advantage.
Many people today are overly concerned with the idea of organic foods that it made wonder whether there are actually many benefits and these benefits are that detrimental to someone’s health. Since organic farming is designed to preserve soil and water while it also reduces pollution, we can assume that it is beneficial to the environment. Speaking more in terms of the human body, organic foods are free from pesticides and food additives which some may see as a healthier option. It is even said that eating more organic can help someone lose weight.
Actually in taking more calories and less nutrient, the product is offering, making organic products are the best healthier option. It is also said that Fruits and vegetables grown without artificial fertilizers significantly contain more key nutrients, including vitamin C.
The main advantage of organic food is without a doubt absence of all non-natural ingredients but the benefits of organic food for health do not end here. Due to the fact that organic food products must not contain any artificial preservatives therefore their shelf life is shorter. This is particularly important when it comes to fresh fruits and vegetables which start to lose nutritional value the same moment they are harvested. And it is the shorter shelf life that makes organic fruits and vegetables more nutritious because they have to be consumed relatively soon in comparison to conventionally grown ones which look like they were just harvested for weeks or even months. As a result, organic food provides considerably greater amounts of essential nutrients which play the key role in human health, also some advantages of organic foods like Prevents premature ageing, Boosts immune system, Reduces risk of heart diseases, Promotes animals welfare, Taste better than non-organic food, Prevents cancer etc.
In addition to direct health benefits, organic food offers a number of indirect but just as important positive effects on both human health and the environment. Since organic food production strictly forbids the use of hazardous chemicals, there is no risk of soil or water contamination which does not just affect the population living nearby conventional farms and groundwater.
Although people of our country do not eat organic food just because it is costly, they prefer to eat non-organic foods, and fast foods which are bad for our health. They waste their money in fashions, showoff, sophistication etc. That?s reason Indian government exports the organic food overseas.
That is the reason highlighted here why we should convince our family to have an organic diet. Organically grown food is healthier for our environment, our planet, our communities and us.
