Jansom Bay Beach – Thailand

Jansom Bay on Ko Tao – Thailand

Jansom Bay can be found on the island Koh Tao which is part of Thailand. This beautiful bay is surrounded by wooded hills and rock formations and offers brilliant white sand and crystal clear water. The island itself is 7 x 3 kilometres in size and is located 45 kilometres off Thailand’s south coast, a journey of approximately 1.5 hours by speedboat. Koh Tao means Turtle Island, named so by the first settlers due to its turtle-like shape. Coincidentally the island is also a breeding ground for sea turtles. The hilly island offers much in the way of pristine nature and is also very popular amongst divers. There are approximately 100 accommodation establishments on Kah Tao which range from simple guesthouses to 5-star resorts. Many of these are situated directly on the islands spectacular beaches.

One Foot Island – Aitutaki

One Foot Island – Aitutaki

Countless palm trees, crystal clear water and fine sand make the One Foot Island the pride of Aitutaki. Aitutaki is one of the Cook Islands and is located in the Central-Southern Pacific Ocean. The One Foot Island itself is a small islet which is located within Aitutako’s central lagoon. It can only be reached by boat, albeit within just a few minutes, and does not feature any accommodation establishments. Aitutaki itself, however, is easily reached via its airport and features a range of accommodation options. Next, to the One Foot Island there are a total of 14 other small islets surrounding Aitutaki.

Tioman Island – Malaysia

Tioman Island – Malaysia

This spectacular beach with its clear turquoise water and pristine sand is situated on Tioman Island. Pulau Tioman is a Malaysian island in the South China Sea. It lies about 50 kilometres east off the mainland of the Malay Peninsula. The island can be reached by ferries or by a propeller aeroplane. Tioman Island is 39 kilometres long and 12 km wide and the interior of the island is a nature reserve which is covered with tropical jungle. Several coral reefs, as well as shipwrecks from WWII, make the waters around the island popular amongst divers.

Voidokilia Beach – Messinia Greece

Voidokilia Beach Messinia Greece

Voidokolia beach is located in Messenia in the southwestern part of the Peloponnese in Greece. Voidokilia is certainly the most famous beach in Messinia. Like a water theater, it consists of a circular bay with fine sand set around turquoise but crystal clear waters. Since the area has been characterized as an archaeological site, the tourism industry has not been able to change the beautiful landscape. Messinia itself features luxurious resorts and guest houses, high mountains and olive groves, historical sites of all ages and of course amazing beaches of all kinds.

Kahana Bay Beach – Oahu Hawaii

Kahana Bay Beach – Oahu Hawaii

The Kahana Bay Beach is located on Oahu, Hawaii’s third-largest island. Kahana Bay is surrounded on three sides by the beautiful green Ko’olau Mountain Range. The remote Kahana Bay Beach itself is a top tip for holidaymakers who are looking for a quiet, deserted beach on Oahu. Trees surrounding the beach offer plenty of opportunities to find a place in the shade and several picnic areas are also available. The water at Kahana Bay Beach is usually quiet and thus well suited for swimming. A river that flows into the bay does, however, disturb the sand around its mouth and makes the water slightly cloudy.
