Of all the tea produced in India, 70% of it consumed in India itself. All the rush these days in tea places in Delhi is a result of Delhites getting bored of fancy foreign coffee places. Many of these branded coffee places and lounge serve overpriced coffee and are all the time crowded and noisy. We love tea but finding always a good and affordable tea place in Delhi is a task, which has been completed. The Wagh Bakri Tea Group has come up with the best tea lounges, Wagh Bakri Tea Lounge in CP Delhi.

So I am lucky to work near CP and whenever there is something new opening up, we are almost the first few to get notified. So on a usual chilly weekday, the craving for tea was high and one of my colleague suggested the Wagh Bakri tea lounge in between Haldiram and Natural on L Block. As soon we entered the smell of elaichi was in the air and was tempting. The premises spread over two floors with yellow as the background in the upper floor and the first floor with slate and chalk written theme.

We ordered a pot of masala tea, which was a mix of authentic tea flavors full of elaichi, laung and more, and spinach corn sandwiches. So here the tea is served with khakra which was in a unique oval shape, crisp and tasted yummy. Sandwiches looked fresh and tasted superb. We just and indeed it was place to relax just with a cup of tea. Also, it is cheap as the total bill was just 200 and for two this amount is very affordable.

This is a perfect place to unwind and indulge in tea time conversations and more. The Tea Lounge serves over 45 varieties of tea, which include Darjeeling and Assam teas, organic teas, flavored teas, Nilgiri tea, Oolong tea, tea mocktails, and even ice-cream tea. Apart from the teas, the mouthwatering Indian snacks come with all-time favorites like Bran panini, baked vada pav, Veg Focaccia, chocolate brownie, muffin and much more.
Tea, as usual, is great and CP doesn’t have too many tea options (barring Cha Bar and tea stalls on Shankar market). Thus, this is a most welcome addition in CP.
