Durga Puja is a religious festival celebrated with great joy by the Hindu religion people all over the country. Durga Puja celebrated with full joy for nine days, but some people celebrate it for five or seven days. In Durga Puja, the idol of Goddess Durga Devi was worship by people. The Durga festivals end on Dashami with Durga idol immersion in a river. During the Durga puja festival celebration, people fast for the entire nine days. Durga Puja is also known as Durga Utsav or Navratri. The festival of Durga Puja is celebrated across Kolkata, Bengal, Assam, Jharkhand, Tripura, Manipur, and Orissa, in India. Apart from Bengal, Durga Puja is known as Navratri Puja in the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, Maharashtra, etc. of India. Durga Puja (Durgotsava) or Navratri Puja is celebrated twice a year in the month of Chaitra and Ashwin.
The festival of Durga Puja is celebrated as the victory of good over evil. In the Hindu religion, the devotee believed that on this day, Goddess Durga conquered the bull demon Mahishasura. Maa Durga called by Lord Vishnu, Shiva, and Brahma to kill the demon Mahishasura and liberate the world from his evilness. Goddess Durga killed the demon Mahishasura on the tenth day after the nine days and nine nights of the war.
The Devotee believes that the blessings of Goddess Durga will be attained and Durga Mata will keep them away from all problems and negative energy. In Kolkata, Durga Puja is celebrated in certain traditions, theme-based pandals are famous across Bengal. The festival of Durga Puja attracts a large crowd of foreign tourists including devotees and visitors. Every festival of Hinduism has a social reason behind it. Durga Puja is a festival that plays an important role in infusing enthusiasm and energy in our lives.
माँ की आराधना का ये पर्व हैं,
माँ के नौ रूपों की भक्ति का पर्व हैं,
बिगड़े काम बनाने का पर्व हैं,
भक्ति का दिया दिल में जलाने का पर्व हैं
शुभ दुर्गा पूजा
सारा जहां है जिसकी शरण में,
नमन है उस माँ के चरण में,
हम है उस माँ के चरणों की धूल,
आओ मिलकर माँ को चढ़ाएं श्रद्धा के फूल।
माता आयी है, खुशियों के भंडार लायी है
सच्चे दिल से तो मांग कर देखो
माँ की तरफ से कभी ना नहीं होगी
तो प्रेम से बोलो “जय माता दी”
हैप्पी दुर्गा पूजा
माता तेरे चरणों मे
भेंट हम चढ़ाते हैं।
कभी नारियल तो
कभी फूल चढ़ाते हैं।
और झोलियाँ भर भर के
तेरे दर से लाते हैं।
लाल रंग की चुनरी से
सजा माँ का दरबार
हर्षित हुआ संसार
माँ आये आपके द्वार
मुबारक हो आपको
दुर्गा पूजा का त्यौहार
आया है माँ दुर्गा का त्यौहार
माँ आप और आपके परिवार
पर सदा अपनी कृपा बनाये रखे
यही है दुआ हमारी
आपको दुर्गा पूजा के पावन अवसर पर
बहुत बहुत बधाई
माँ की शक्ति का वास हो
संकटों का नाश हो
हर घर में सुख शांति का वास हो

माँ के दर पर सभी शीश झुकाते
मिलता है चैन तेरे दर पे मैया
झोली भरके सभी है जाते
दुर्गा पूजा की हार्दिक बधाई
जगत पालन हार है माँ
मुक्ति का धाम है माँ
हमारी भक्ति के आधार है माँ
हम सब की रक्षा की अवतार है माँ

लक्ष्मी का हाथ हो
सरस्वती का साथ हो
गणेश का निवास हो
और माँ दुर्गा के आशीर्वाद से
